Why the House Cleaning Business Is the Perfect Business

>

Let’s face it, not a lot of people grow up wanting to be housekeepers and clean houses for a living. However, that may be due to social prejudices when the fact is, the house cleaning business represents a great business model and career. When you think about it, where else can you practically guarantee regular cleaning jobs and repeat customer base due to the fact that things get dirty all the time?

Also, the clients are loyal because they just don’t want the hassle of finding someone new to invite into their house. Once you have a good working relationship with the client, trust is established. And inviting a stranger into your house requires trust.

If you’re not convinced yet of the business model of the house cleaning business, here are other factors to think about. The business is low cost. All you really need is transportation and cleaning supplies when first starting out. At first, you will probably be cleaning houses for people you already know and who trust you but later on, being insured against liability and also getting bonded is recommended. This just gives other potential clients you might not know as well an extra peace of mind.

Of course, because you’re in business for yourself, you can give yourself flexible hours or you might work really hard in an effort to expand. Once you’ve reached this stage, you might be the one hiring extra workers to go out in the field to do the cleaning. Then you’ll be a business with employees and that involves other financial and business matters that goes beyond elbow grease. Therefore, the stigma of just being a housekeeper is shattered. The cleaning business is a billion dollar industry and there are very capable people running it.

There’s money to be made in the house cleaning business and if people would remove their prejudices and see what a great business model it represents, they can make a lot of money.
