Big Bad Black Mold

If you have mold in your house, maybe on your drywall, one of the first questions that pop into your mind when you find it is:

Do you have to replace drywall if there is black mold?

The short answer is yes you should replace the drywall. Drywall is considered food, mold will grow on anything that is considered mold food so drywall is a prime candidate in the right conditions.  To prevent this is the future, use cement board in bathrooms or moisture resistant drywall.
