A full spectrum light bulb is used in most of these artificial lights which is a great alternative to sunlight.
For larger growing places diy kits are available so that you can make up your own set of lights to fit your needs. This option is very affordable and all you need are some basic skills to get these grow lights set up. With very little effort you will begin to see your plants and flowers grow into a beautiful garden in no time at all.
