Reasons to Avoid Eyelash Tinting – There Are Not Many

>

Eyelash tinting is considered a safe procedure but there are also a few reasons to avoid it. However, when you have decided that tinting is what you want, that this is something that is right for you, visit a professional salon or aesthetician to have the best and safest application of eyelash tints. There are precautionary measures that should be followed before using the tint and tints are not procedures to be done at home.

Tinting lashes and brows should always be done by licensed professionals only. There are some substances in the tints used that can cause blindness if incorrectly applied. These substances, like aniline dyes, which is also present in hair dyes are not something to be played with, but should be handled with care. The FDA and cosmetologists warn against aniline dyes because it is colorless and oily but poisonous. For this reason, professionals will likely choose a non-toxic eyelash tint.

Although there are non-toxic eyebrow and eyelash tints that do not contain coal tar derivatives or hydrogen peroxide bleaching agents, there are some eyelash and eyebrow tints which still use the aniline dye in its production and these should be avoided. In the use of this eyelash and eyebrow tint, instructions or directions for its use should be followed clearly and carefully and use it properly only as directed. Utilizing the services of a professional will ensure safe application of the dyes.

There are also many people who are allergic or sensitive to makeup or cosmetics, especially when used near the eyes, which is a very sensitive part of the body. People with many allergies or very sensitive skin should avoid eyelash tints.

Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided since tints may cause irritation or allergic reactions on the surface of the skin. If accidental contact with the eyes occurs, it is imperative to flush the area immediately with water.

Also be sure to remove accidental stains from skin immediately with the use of soap and water. Consultation with a physician should be done if irritation persists after the tinting procedure. Most importantly, tints and dyes must be kept out of reach of children because many are poisonous if ingested or swallowed.

While generally considered safe, both eyelash tinting and eyebrow tinting is not without a few areas of caution. In general, use a trained professional to achieve a good result. Take extra care to keep out of the reach of children and consult a physician if irritation or allergic reactions should occur. That said, I have never looked back and will never wear runny mascaras ever again. The eyelash tinting procedure is one that makes it easy to have a natural, fresh faced beauty and is not part of my natural healthy beauty routine.
