The imbalance of certain neurotransmitters on your brain can also cause panic attacks during nighttime. Still another cause is the various sleep disorders. Sleep apnea can cause anxiety attacks because it interrupts your normal breathing. Lastly, major life changes can also cause panic attacks. These are changes like divorce, the death of a loved one, loss of jobs and many more.
