Can Your Business Profit from the Health Revolution? Selecting a Commercial Juicer

>

Since people have begun to recognize the health benefits of drinking freshly made fruit and vegetable juices, many cafes and similar food businesses have started selling juices to discerning customers. Young, health conscious professionals are often prepared to pay premium prices for a healthy hit, and many businesses are reaping the financial benefits of this health revolution.

If you or someone you know are in the restaurant trade then maybe it is time for you to evaluate the potential profit involved in making and selling juice from your business. Juicing is not a complicated business at all, requiring little more than a commercial juicer machine and a steady supply of good quality ingredients for customers to choose from.

One of the big attractions of fresh juice bars for customers is that they get to choose exactly what goes in to their drink. This is why you need to stock a good variety of ingredients for every day. If you are already preparing fresh foods this ought not to be  big problem – you will already have your contacts in the food supply network and they will gladly increase your daily orders of fresh fruit and vegetables!

As a rule of thumb, experienced commercial juicers will operate on the basis that you use relatively inexpensive ingredients to make the bulk of the juice you sell, and use lesser quantities of the expensive bits to add the taste and character. An example is that for an Apple, black currant, raspberry and mango juice you would make 75% of the liquid apple, and spread the remaining 25% between the other, more costly ingredients. The customer is happy, and you have spent less on making the tasty drink – meaning you can collect a better profit per cup of juice.

When you are looking at different commercial juicer machines that are for sale, a big point to consider is on site warranty. Unlike a home juice you cant just send it back to the manufacturer and be without it for a week. An on site warranty arrangement means you will have less down time in the event of a malfunction or breakdown.
