Attractive Bamboo Roman Shades

>

Bamboo roman shades are shades that can be raised and lowered using two ropes or strings. They are usually coiled when raised, and pulling on one rope will lower them with the shades slowly uncoiling. These shades look very good because they have an earthy color, and if you get the untreated ones will even give you a pleasant mild smell.

There are not too many colors that you can choose from, the most common being various shades of black or brown. The color will usually not clash too much with the rest of your room because unless you get the artificially colored ones they can go with most interiors. In fact, if you feel that the bamboo shade does not complement your room, but you still want one, a simple trick will ensure that it fits in with your decor.

Painting a white border around the window so that it will frame the shade will immediately make a difference. This trick is used quite a lot when it comes to color schemes, and the white border will give a neutral partitioning that separates two contrasting and possibly clashing colors.

Bamboo roman shades come in different densities. If you want a filtered light to come in it is better to go with the less dense one while the heavier shades will cut out most outside light. It is always advisable to go for the slightly better quality ones even if they cost more because the cheap window treatments will usually not be made as well and may start falling apart in a matter of weeks.

This is not to say that you will have to go for the most expensive ones. Just make sure that all the edges are bound properly with a cloth binding or something else that will prevent fraying, and make sure that the bamboo looks even, it means that they are from mature bamboo shoots and will be more sturdy.

A bamboo roman shade is a very good addition to inside your home, not just for outdoor gazebo curtains. And although they cost a little more than window curtains and venetian blinds, they will also improve the look of your home more than a simple curtain could. Look it up online to see the different kinds available, and since most of these shades cost around the $30 mark, it is not too much a price to pay to make your home look better. In fact if you are not averse to purchasing online you will even find sites that give you a discount on your purchases and will ship free.
